Membership Elects Six Members to the Board
Greenbelt, Md., October
25, 2007 – The
National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) membership has elected
six members to serve on the organization's Board of Directors.
According to Survey Ballot & Systems, Inc., the independent
firm that manages NFRC's voting process, 51% of NFRC members eligible
to vote participated in this year's election.
"We
are very pleased with the way elections proceeded this year and
are excited to welcome our new Board members," said Jim Benney,
NFRC's executive director. "Each year when we choose our
leadership, the very best that our industry has to offer rises
to the top. This year is no exception."
Beginning
in December, the following members will assume or continue their
positions on the NFRC Board of Directors:

Selkowitz, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory – General Interest
Category
- Tony
Rygg , California Energy Commission – General Interest Category
- Steven
Rosenstock, Edison Electric Institute – General Interest Category
- Steve
Strawn, Jeld-Wen, Inc. – Fenestration Industry – Residential
- Stephen
Farrar, Guardian Industries Corp. – Fenestration Industry -
Glass
- Joe
Hayden, Pella Corporation – Fenestration Industry – Unspecified
These
members will join Marcia Falke, Chair; Gary Curtis, Secretary;
Kerry Haglund; Jeffrey Harris; Mike Manteghi; and Michael Thoman
on the Board of Directors. NFRC's Board is charged with assuring
all programs and policies are in place and consistent with NFRC's
goal of providing fair and accurate energy performance ratings
for fenestration products.
