NFRC Announces New Leadership for 2006

  • Marcia Falke of Keystone Certifications elected to chair position
  • Advocates the reduction of fees and the simplification of processes when possible

Silver Spring , Md. - December 12, 2005 - The NFRC Board of Directors unanimously elected Marcia Falke of Keystone Certifications, Inc. as chair during its Fall Board meeting in Santa Fe , N.M. Falke will serve as chair through 2006. She succeeds Marvin Stover of Mikron Industries, Inc.

Falke has 39 years of fenestration industry experience, starting as a staff engineer, progressing to window designer and then simulation lab manager. She is currently president and founder of Keystone Certifications, Inc. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Lowell Technological Institute.

As NFRC's chair, Falke is responsible for the appropriate governance of NFRC, presides over all meetings of the members and the Board of Directors, and helps guide the direction of NFRC activities.

“I've seen and worked in several facets of the fenestration industry,” Falke said. “As an IA (independent certification and inspection agent) of fenestration products, I've worked with hundreds of manufacturers. I know their issues and concerns and will continue to serve as a fair and representative voice. As I have for the past three years as a Board member, I continue to advocate the reduction of fees and simplification of processes.”

NFRC Executive Director Jim Benney remarked, “Marcia Falke has been an active, contributing member of NFRC for more than a decade.  After Marvin Stover stepped down as the incumbent Chair, the Board unanimously elected Marcia to take his place because they knew she would serve with grace and integrity.”

Completing the slate of 2006 officers are:

Vice Chair – Alecia Ward (Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance )

Treasurer – Harry Misuriello ( Alliance to Save Energy)

Secretary – Gary Curtis (The WestWall Group, LLC)
